So this is the final for my illustrated poster. I originally wanted them as a series of A3 posters, but that was before my tutor reminded me it had to be one poster on A3. So after some thinking and playing around with composition etc. I came up with this. I'd still rather it be a series, with maybe one or two more portraits.. but eh. If I were to ever exhibit them, that's how I'd do it.

D&AD//Little White Lies magazine - Black Swan
Today I made a start on the illustration brief for the D&AD student awards. The brief is for Little White Lies magazine; a bi-monthly independent movie magazine.
'Create an original cover illustration for Little White Lies magazine, depicting the main character of one of our five favourite films of 2011'
The movies to choose from are: Drive, Black Swan, The Tree of Life, Super 8, and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
As you can see, I've chosen to illustrate Nina (Natalie Portman) from Black Swan. I have loads of ideas for this, can't wait to show everyone the finished piece!

So today Dazed and Confused Magazine featured my Kate Moss piece on their Facebook page! (How fun is that!?) I've been pretty much fangirling for most of the afternoon. Super happy!

Momentum - Dance Showcase.
Here's a poster I designed for a college dance showcase. The theme was 'energy'. So yeah, this has energy right? Right. I mean whatever, I'm tired.

Made up from hand drawn illustration, digital colouring and scanned collage. Even has my logo on it. Shocking.

Drop Dead Beautiful.
So, in celebration of going to see Britney's 'Femme Fatale' tour this Sunday, I decided to design this tee to wear for the occasion.
I think I'm looking forward to seeing the faces of her diehard fans a little more that I should.

How exactly does one suck a fuck?
'Suck a fuck - To establish a partial vacuum with ones mouth around a physical sexual encounter in an attempt to draw nourishment from a couples custard cannon and pantie hamster.'
Uhh, thanks internet. Anywho.. I added this new design to my store today. Donnie Darko inspired, of course. I wish it really flashed, but alas it does not. It is, however, available in two colour styles! LIKE OMG NO WAY!! Right?
Also, I drew this:
Why? I dunno. I don't even remember doing it. Do toadstools like that even really exist?
And finally, at college today I refreshed my InDesign knowledge then started some ideas for the surrealism presentation next week. I get to research Max Ernst. An artist I actually like. What is this fuckery?

Bite me.
On the left is my original hand drawn illustration, and on the right is the finished version after the magical Adobe elves played around with it. Neat huh?

Well good news, they're available for purchase over on my Etsy store. Mind Blowing! Click here to be taken there, as if by magic. You may call me Matilda.
I have another design coming tomorrow as well, just as soon as I finish it.
